HELLO!

I'm a story artist & director for animation.
Currently I am storyboard artist at Bobbypills (FR) with Warner Media (UK).

Recently I have been Storyboard Supervisor & Episodic Director on Disney's 'The Unstoppable Yellow Yeti' by Gigglebug Entertainment in Helsinki (FI). I have storyboarded on the Netflix series 'Mech Cadets' by Polygon Pictures (JP) and 'DeadEnd' by Blink Industries/Mystery Q Ltd (UK), and worked at Cartoon Network where I storyboarded on 'The Amazing World of Gumball', 'The Valiant Quest of Prince Ivandoe', 'Elliott From Earth' and directed a development pilot. I worked on the Disney series '101 Dalmatian Street' produced by Passion Pictures/Twilight Bark (UK). Freelance clients include Netflix (US), Mercury Filmworks (CA) and more. I developed 2 personal series projects with the BBC (UK).

I really love working in games too, and have had the amazing opportunity to work several times with Bithell Games (UK), including as cinematic analyst for 'John Wick: Hex', and as storyboard consultant on the upcoming video game 'Goodbye Volcano High' for KO_OP (CA).

I regularly give talks and workshops at festivals and universities, such as Central Saint Martins where I am a visiting lecturer giving both character design and storyboard workshops every year. In my free time I like seeing friends, cycling, wild swimming, playing video & tabletop games, and of course visiting art & science exhibitions and museums. Originally from a small mining town in the Netherlands, I have lived in several different countries including UK, Japan, Canada, Germany, Finland and France.

I have a BA in Animation, a MA in Animation Directing, and an advanced diploma in Child Developmental Psychology. I am personally very interested in how media can contribute to the positive mental growth of children, teenagers and young adults through visual storytelling.
